Guangdong Province's Guang'an team has regretted losing to Jiangsu Province's Jiangsu Suning FC in the final round of the China Super League (CSL) championship series, which ended with a score of 1-2.
The match was held on Saturday night at the Shanghai Stadium in Shanghai. In the first half, Guang'an started well and took a 1-0 lead after just six minutes. However, Jiangsu soon found their way back into the game through a goal from midfielder Li Yuchen in the 38th minute.
In the second half, Guang'an tried to equalize but were unable to do so as Jiangsu goalkeeper Zhuo Zhiwen made several key saves. The final whistle blew shortly afterwards, leaving Guang'an disappointed with their performance in the finals.
Guang'an manager Zhang Xinyu expressed his team's disappointment, saying: "We did our best in this match, but we could not overcome the gap between ourselves and Jiangsu."
Zhang also praised Jiangsu for their excellent play, saying that they showed great determination and resilience throughout the match.
Despite the loss, Guang'an still have the opportunity to compete in next year's CSL, thanks to their strong performance during the regular season. They will now focus on improving their skills and tactics ahead of next season's competition.
